Happy May Day! Whether that involves dancing around a Maypole, attending a Labor march or just delighting in the warmer weather — enjoy it! I intend to do the later, although, I fear I may get caught-up in the middle melee option as I'll be taking the El to work in a bit and will be heading into the middle of a really big Immigration and Labor march. I imagine the marchers will hit the intersection of Randolph and Des Plaines, you know, commemorating that rascally Hay Market Riot. Actually, on the funny-haha tip, this morning I heard an amusing story about some hammer-and-sickle-shadow-casting-statue on the University of Chicago campus, right outside the Economics Department. Make of it what you will and Happy May Day!
